Temporary Traffic Management Training – Northland | Te Tai Tokerau

Approximately 26% of Northland’s reported State Highway injury crashes occur in the Autumn months. Local road injury crashes account for approximately 24% of crashes during this period.

For example, the SH1/Tarewa Road intersection upgrade continues, and is designed to improve traffic flow and safety. It also improves safety for those walking and cycling with a shared path under the new bridge and signalised pedestrian crossings providing important links to Whāngārei Hospital and Northland Polytech and the CBD.

Temporary Traffic Management will continue to be active around the region providing warning and control, as this and many other projects are at various stages of completion.

It is a requirement that all companies undertaking temporary traffic management ensure their staff retain valid, up-to-date Traffic Controller (TC) or Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) warrants, in order to implement and manage their worksites.

TTM Training and Compliance also offer specialist training for Kerbside Collection Traffic Leaders (KCTLs). It is a requirement of many RCAs that Team Leaders be KCTL certified within four months of the start of employment in a waste management role.
